The Next Generation of Golfers: Let the Latest Research and Technology Save Them Time and Pain

The next generation of golfers are very fortunate since, with a knowledgeable coach, they can take advantage of so much of the latest research and technology to do with individual biomechanics in golf - how it differs from person to person, which was not available to us up to fairly recently. The best time to "set" anyone's most optimal grip and body action, is while they are still young - and then to not change anything anymore, regardless of what each individual’s correct actions look like - since what works for one person can be a disaster for the next person trying it !

The most successful player in history, as well as some other great players including the current number one player, decided early on, together with their coaches, to not make changes based largely on what their swings looked like, since even though they did not understand it back then, they saw that their techniques were working well despite people thinking it must be wrong based on what certain of their positions looked like.

A common denominator with these great players who were so consistent, was that they only had one coach, who believed in them. On the contrary, various former number one ranked players in the world’s careers were all but ruined, by different coaches trying to change the very things that got them to number one in the first place ! Frighteningly, this must be happening all the time to many players - the ones whose natural actions differ most from the “norm” or the “average” are the ones most at risk - the coaches intentions are good naturally, no disputing that, but since this knowledge was only published fairly recently, and is still getting lost between the overwhelming amount of opinions on social media, it has not yet reached most coaches.

By starting early, so much valuable time can be saved, allowing the young golfers to focus on playing their best and even to avoid possible career-ending injuries later down the line. Including myself as a great example, I can clearly see the results of all the previous confusion, amongst the older players that I see.

I am fortunate enough to be able to supplement my knowledge with the most cutting-edge technology available - we all know how tech-savvy this generation is, so they really understand it quickly and it adds a lot to their enjoyment of it all as well. The concept also applies throughout the game from driver to putter, which further simplifies things so much for the juniors, by cutting out unneccessary and confusing information throughout the game, that does not apply to them specifically.

An added bonus with this system is that once the junior is applying their most natural grip and action, their speed also becomes maximised and consistent - on top of that I can then ramp their speed up even more by using the technology as well as some great tools designed for this purpose - in today’s competitive environment, distance has become a vital element for success.

Whilst biomechanics plays a big role, there is much more to golf than just this element. Therefore, in our academy, your rising star will also learn how to manage themselves on the golf course and during tournaments. The feedback and learning cycle will be consistent, ensuring their development as well-rounded golfers. To further enhance their physical conditioning, I collaborate with specific local biokineticists and conditioning coaches who specialize in golf-specific training.

I am aware that teenagers have a multitude of other activities as well, and this is why it is beneficial to have at least one parent present at an initial assessment / interview. This way, we can discuss everything, including the costs involved, and ensure that everyone is on board and committed.

Although I wouldn’t want to turn any juniors away, it is preferable that he / she is 13 years and above. There is no handicap criteria though, and beginners are also welcome. Space is however limited, so don’t delay contacting me. I look forward to meeting you.
